In 2023, the Regional Council of Southwest Finland ordered Akordi the “Learn to lead cooperation” training for the members of the Finnish Maritime Spatial Planning Coordination Group. The Group consists of experts appointed by the coastal Regional Councils and the Ministry of the Environment.

In the training, the participants learned the basic principles, processes and personal skills needed in multilateral cooperation, got to know the approach of interest-based negotiation and learned to apply it to the interaction and proactive problem solving in maritime spatial planning cooperation. The training also included customized content for the needs of maritime spatial planning, a preliminary task for the participants, compilation of the preliminary task, 2-day (September 27-28, 2023) and 1-day (January 2024) in-person training, as well as an interim meeting on Teams.
