Riikka Virta
Project Associate
In 2011 I entered University to study Regional Science and Environmental Policy at the University of Tampere. I began to specialise in the quality of living environment and the management of regional change and in 2015 I graduated as a Master of Administrative Sciences.
I joined the Akordi team in the spring of 2019, participating in residents’ interaction of the City of Vantaa Master Plan. Currently I am working on a project that explores citizens’ perceptions regarding artificial intelligence.
In my role in the municipal sector, I work closely with the involvement and interaction of citizens. Among other things, I have facilitated and coordinated resident evenings and workshops. In development work I consider it important to incorporate a resident-perspective at an early stage of planning. I am particularly fascinated in enhancing the interaction, cooperation and trust between different actors.
