Timo Karjalainen

Timo is an entrepreneur in the natural resources sector and an environmental sociologist by training. Timo has focused his expertise on various environmental and natural resource projects and disputes. In particular, his work has been related to land, water and fish resource use in Northern Finland, such as the Baltic salmon and groundwater disputes.

Timo has also carried out social impact assessments and contributed to the development of assessment methodologies. He is particularly interested in reconciling different views and interests and in the social and economic impacts of projects and decisions.
