Akordi’s training: How to anticipate and resolve conflicts in a green transition Project? – Sign up
In Akordi’s training, you will learn how to build social acceptance at the local level by investing in early-stage interaction.
In Finland, the green transition has strong social and political support and market uptake. This is reflected in increasing pressure at local level, where the need to coordinate projects with other interests gets concrete. The impacts of climate change-friendly projects on water bodies and biodiversity raise localconcerns and objections. Projects require space and structures, and environmental impacts cannot be avoided altogether.
However, conflicts are not necessarily to be avoided or won. They can be solved together.
The course will be taught by Jonna Kangasoja, CEO of Akordi. Jonna has acted as a facilitator and mediator in negotiations on a number of Akordi’s projects. She has trained multi-party negotiation and conflict resolution skills at Aalto University, the University of Tampere, the University of Eastern Finland and in the public and private sectors.
