Our Dutch colleagues visited Finland
We started the week on an inspiring note with training from our Dutch colleagues, where we got to dive deeper into their approach to strategic stakeholder engagement and got to hear some interesting examples from the Netherlands.
Our international colleagues from the Consensus Building Institute Global Network, Marc Wesselink and Robin Schram, gave us inspiring and thought provoking 2-day training, which was the first English-language course organized by their organization, WesselinkVanZijst.
During these days, we were able to concretize the Mutual Gains Approach and apply the steps of the Strategic Stakeholder Engagement process circle to our own current projects.
In addition to the Akordi team, the training was attended by members of the steering group of our TAH Foundation-funded project Green Transition Conflict Anticipation and Resolution and employees of the RELEX Foundation:
- Johanna Kentala-Lehtonen, Secretary General, Expert Panel for Sustainable Development
- Laura Höijer, Research Director, Ministry of the Environment
- Marjukka Porvari, Lead Environmental Specialist, RELEX Foundation
- Outi Kuittinen, CEO, RELEX Foundation
- Touko Sipiläinen, Head of Greenpeace in Finland
Thank you, Marc and Robin, for your visit—the exchange of ideas and experiences provided many new insights!
