Akordi facilitated an interim review of the 2022–2027 natural resources plan for the Sámi homeland in January 2026 in Inari.

The working group involved in drawing up the plan and representatives of Metsähallitus met to evaluate the plan and the implementation of the measures included in it. During the two-day meeting, the participants shared their views and experiences of Metsähallitus’s activities in the area and identified development needs that had emerged during the planning period.

Akordi also facilitated the work of the working group when the plan was drawn up in 2020–2021. In addition, prior to the process, we conducted a conflict assessment between the forest co-operatives in the Sámi homeland and Metsähallitus’ business operations regarding conflicts over the use of state forests and possible solutions.
