Taika Tikkanen

I started as an intern at Akordi in December 2024 after which I continued working as a Communications Specialist. I mainly work on communication tasks and assist in various projects. At the same time, I am working on my Master’s thesis on the nature conservation disputes in the Kvarken archipelago.

I am a fifth year student at Tampere University and I’m majoring in Environmental Politics and Regional Studies. In my studies, I have focused in particular on justice issues of green transition and on environmental conflicts and their management. I have also completed a Bachelor of Education in Lifelong Learning and Education, during which I grew my understanding of the role of learning in societal change, among other things. In my Bachelor’s thesis, I studied the values of Sitra’s leadership training for sustainable economic policy from the perspective of eco-social education.
