Implementation and support of the resident interaction of the local detailed plan in Sudentulli Nurmijärvi

Nurmijärvi municipality is preparing a local detailed plan for a data center in the Sudentulli area. The project has great economic and political significance for Nurmijärvi municipality. However, the project also has significant effects due to its size, which will probably cause concern in the neighborhood. Therefore, it is justified to pay special attention to communication and interaction during planning.
In the local detailed plan process, Akordi acts as a neutral external facilitator and assistant in the interaction between the various parties.
We promote openness of the project and the participants’ access to information through clear and timely communication. Together we identify and create a jointly shared view of the effects to be evaluated, questions that require a solution in the planning work, possible solutions and information needs. In addition, we support planning by creating forums that enable constructive interaction and cooperation for solving and coordinating challenges, and assist the customer in predictable and unpredictable challenging interaction situations and their resolution.
The residents’ meeting for the initial phase of station planning was organized in March 2024. The next step is the residents’ meeting related to the presentation of the draft plan in the fall of 2024.
