Thomas Banafa

I joined the company in 2025 as the Business Director. Previously I have worked as an entrepreneur and a consultant specializing in flood risk management planning; I also collaborated with Akordi as an external expert in 2019–2021. I am writing my doctoral thesis at Aalto University on the topic of social networks in water resources governance.

In addition to developing and integrating business processes, I’m involved in client projects as an expert and a project manager.

I am particularly interested in issues related to water resources governance and the water-food-energy nexus. I also enjoy spatial data analysis and network analysis.
